Patient Stories - Kevin, 56
My name is Kevin and I am 56 years old. I had a laparoscopic radical prostatectomy in July 2004 I previously had no symptoms, the cancer being discovered by biopsy, following an increase of my PSA from 3.6 to 6.5 in two years.
I spent four weeks researching possible treatments and spoke to six surgeons in the UK, Canada and Belgium. Having decided on laparoscopic surgery, I followed the recommendation of two fellow surgeons and asked Mr. Eden to perform the operation.
Now six months later, I only use a small pad when I am running, regularly doing 5/6 kms or at the gym where I spend an hour or more five days a week. With the aid of two Cialis tablets a week, I can have normal intercourse. I am still trying to get used to "running dry" but my wife actually prefers it!
